So, funny thing. I absolutely love seafood and my son cannot stand the stuff. Flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood and he doesn’t eat seafood 😩😩😩😩 so sadly when I do cook at home, it’s mostly just for me. I feel bad for him but all the more for me right?
Anyhoo I love love love this recipe. Dead easy, minimum effort and so much fun to eat with a bunch of people around the table with a good wine. I did this with my sisters minus the wine but it was still awesome.
If you’re having a few people over and want a simple meal with zero effort, this is it. Just put the ingredients together and chuck it in the oven
Serves 4
1 kg cleaned shell on and shell off prawns
150 grams salted butter cut into small cubes
2 tablespoons capers
A handful of chopped parsley
Juice of 1 lemon
Pinch of salt to taste
Pre-heat your oven to 180 °C for about 10 minutes
Place your clean prawns in a baking dish and over them, spread the chopped butter, parsley, capers lemon juice and salt.
Put the prawns into the oven oven on the middle shelf to cook for 15 minutes. Or until the shells are a bright pink. Take out of the oven and serve with some fresh crusty bread to mop up the juices and some crisp white wine.
